Poem quoted in extenso in the notice of the poem “Rousse”, in Textes divers (1929-1977), published in Œuvres complètes, coll. of the Pléiade, t. II, p. 1215, where mention is made of our sheet on which these three poems appear. The 3 first verses are found in the scenario that the poet wrote for Les Enfants du Paradis, film directed by Marcel Carné, released in March 1945. It’s Frédérick Lemaître, performed by Pierre Brasseur, who pronounces them with nostalgia and depth. We can therefore date the writing of this sheet to around 1943, start date the filming.
